Abstract

This study estimates the effect of large-scale anti-contagion policies on the COVID-19 pandemic across six countries. Using reduced-form econometric methods, we find that anti-contagion policies have significantly slowed the growth rate of infections, preventing hundreds of millions of additional cases.
